A Message from the President
 

Dobson344rt.jpgWelcome to the Professional Women’s Alliance, a member network of the National Association for Female Executives.  PWA is recognized in the community as an organization positively impacting the metropolitan area. We stand for women supporting women as VOICES of the community - Vibrant, Outstanding, Influential, Confident, Effective, and Strong.

The PWA’s plans for 2010 are exciting. The Ritz-Carlton, Saint Louis in Clayton will now be the venue for the PWA’s monthly meetings. We will also return to having some breakfast meetings as well as continuing with our lunch and dinner meetings.  

We look forward to this year’s Cinco de Mayo fundraiser as well as our annual golf tournament.  I firmly believe in the mission of our charity of choice, Lydia’s House, which provides transitional housing for victims of domestic abuse and their children. This past year, as a result of our Cinco de Mayo fundraiser and golf tournament, we donated $5,700 to Lydia’s House.  Our Dutch Auction at the Cinco de Mayo event raised an additional $5,000, which went directly to Lydia’s House.  


I encourage everyone to take advantage the PWA’s mentoring program. As a previous protégé in this program, I can attest to the benefit that this program brings to women at all stages of their career.  The mentoring program provides an opportunity for women to learn and grow through each other's experience and knowledge.

We greatly appreciate our continued sponsorship from the St. Louis Women’s Journal, as well as our partnership agreement with St. Louis Women on Boards. Our mission would not be possible without their continued support.

The PWA looks forward to facilitating the growth of your business career and life path. Please stay tuned to updates on our website regarding the PWA’s upcoming events. Also, it is never to early to plan your table for our Cinco de Mayo fundraiser or to organize your foursome for the golf tournament.
