The Courage of The Pursuit
KBL Impact Partners
Throughout our lives and career, we’ve found ourselves standing at a crossroads whether it’s how to step up in a current role, or maybe a completely new career or life change, or returning to work after covid…or just thinking, “ Do I have the Courage of the Pursuit..For What’s Next?”
The question of “What’s Next” often times is the state of not knowing, it leads to questions such as “what am I doing with my life” or “what is my purpose”. If you have reached a state of not knowing what to do with your life, this is a good thing. It’s a sign that change is just around the corner.
Discover the 5 Steps to Embrace Your Courage Of The Pursuit.
Courage is the most important of all the virtues because without courage, you can’t practice any other virtue consistently.

More about Kathy:
Kathy is the Co-Founder and CEO of KBL Impact Partners, along with her husband, Brad. Kathy has a deep belief that everyone is a changemaker. For over 24 years, Kathy has worked to end the generational cycle of poverty through innovative, evidence-based programs and strong collaborations as CEO and Co-founder of Connections to Success.
Kathy’s journey began in 1997 after she read an article about Dress for Success New York, a nonprofit dedicated to helping women re-enter the workforce by providing interview clothing. Recognizing a similar need in her St. Louis community, Kathy launched the nonprofit, Dress for Success Midwest.
Kathy quickly learned about the challenges many low-income single moms face, including a lack of transportation, difficulty navigating social service and justice systems. To help address the need for transportation, Kathy’s husband, Brad, started Wheels for Success, a nonprofit dedicated to connecting individuals and families with reliable transportation. In 2001, Kathy and Brad merged their organizations to create Connections to Success (CtS) with the goal of breaking the cycle of poverty and incarceration for the next generation.
Kathy has provided passionate leadership and overseen CtS’s growth into a regional nonprofit with sites in Missouri, Illinois, and Kansas. Today CtS is nationally recognized as an evidence-based model for Economic Mobility, improving children’s futures by helping parents gain social capital and achieve economic independence. Connections to Success has 13 Membership sites in 7 states.
Kathy’s work has been recognized locally and nationally. A few awards she received are the 2021 Jones Philanthropic Award, the 2021 FOCUS St. Louis Alumni Award, 2019 Women of Influence Award by RISE Collaborative and 2017 St. Louis Women of Achievement Award.
Kathy loves spending time with family, hiking, music, traveling and playing with their dog Izzy. She has accomplished one of her goals on her bucket list…she is now a TEDx Speaker.
