More about Laurie:

Laurie is a nurse community educator in the Community Outreach Department at St. Luke’s Hospital. Laurie received her BS in Nursing from Jewish Hospital College of Nursing and an MS Degree in Nursing from Webster University. Laurie has worked in health care for 35 years with many of those years focused on heart health. Having seen the connection with chronic stress and illness, Laurie has concentrated the past 10-15 years on Stress Management and Mindfulness with the desire to help reduce the chronic diseases that are hurting our communities throughout the United States. She is a certified holistic stress management instructor, certified mindful eating instructor, and certified health coach. She has presented many times on the topic of Mindful Living to various groups in the St. Louis area. Laurie has been married for 22 years and has 2 older teenagers and one funny dog as part of her wonderful family…she enjoys her annual trip with girlfriends and traveling in general with family, reading for monthly book club, enjoys cooking sometimes, especially when a glass of wine is involved, and finds learning new things keeps life interesting and fresh.
