July Annual Leadership Training
July 12, 2017 @ 7:30 am - 10:00 am
$35.00 – $50.00Get Motivated: Cultivating Intrinsic Motivation and Full Engagement
Brought to you by Judy Ryan of LifeWork Systems
People are always motivated! They’re just not always motivated to do what you want! There’s a difference between being a boss and a leader who creates other leaders, drawing forth empowerment.
In this presentation, participants learn systems needed for development of responsibility and intrinsic motivation that assists everyone in becoming influential and self-directed.
This workshop introduces the four intrinsic motivators that must be understood and cultivated within individuals and in groups to ensure integrity, internal alignment, problem solving and follow-through on commitments. Steps and roles are described for developing them in self and others.
Takeaways include:
- How to recognize when you need to replace common (but not always recognized) extrinsic (or external) motivators with intrinsic (motivators)
- How to support yourself and others to stay internally motivated and purpose-based in your actions depending upon which intrinsic motivator may be arrested and thereby creating a barrier to success
- Understanding the difference between committed vs. compliant or rebellious behaviors (some are passive and obscure), and how to recognize the differences using a personal responsibility chart as a resource and tool.
