More about Gabriela:
Originally from Guanajuato, Mexico and inspired by her own experience growing up as an immigrant in the United States, Gabriela has a passion and commitment to help others.
Now back in St. Louis, Gabriela finds her voice helping small business owners achieve their dreams as Business Counselor at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and through her podcast, Auténtico that empowers and showcases bilingual Latinx professionals and small business owners.
She has been recognized as a thought-leader in social innovation and entrepreneurship and was named one of the Top 100 people to know in St. Louis to succeed in business as well as a Diverse Business Leader in the St. Louis region. She has appeared on St. Louis Public Radio, featured in the STL101 Speaker Series, and on various panels on food entrepreneurship. Gabriela has been recognized as a Diversity Champion by the MO Department of Transportation and a Diversity and Inclusion Champion by the St. Louis Council of Construction Consumers.
Gabriela sits on the board of the BALSA Foundation, Contractor Loan Fund, United Way’s Multicultural Leadership Society, St Charles’ Complete County Commission, St. Louis County Business Advisory Council, and is trying to conquer her fear of networking and speaking in public. She is not a native St. Louisan but moved back to the region in 2016 and hit the ground running. When she is not working to help small business owners succeed, she is helping her husband run their Mexican Restaurant, Don Emilianos in O’Fallon, MO.
Gabriela holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Missouri – Columbia and an MBA from Lindenwood University.
