As the CEO of Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri, Dr. Natissia Small is focused on providing visionary leadership, community engagement, fundraising, and innovative practices.
With nearly three decades of higher education experience, Natissia has dedicated her career to creating innovative programs and partnerships to provide students and their families with holistic support through education, mentorship, professional skill building, and resources needed to access and finish college to become strong leaders in the global workforce.
Natissia most recently served as Vice Provost for Access, Academic Support and Workforce Integration at the University of Missouri-St Louis. During her tenure, Natissia led the university in gaining local, state, and national recognition for college access and academic support, including commendation from the Missouri Senate for “Excellent Contributions and Outstanding Dedication to the Community,” the Dr. Asa G. Hilliard Model of Excellence Award from the National College Board, FOCUS St. Louis “What’s Right with the Region Award,” and many more.
A recognized contributor to our community, Natissia has received a number of individual awards and recognitions, including, but not limited to:

Born and raised in rural Charleston, Missouri, Natissia, a first-generation college student went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from Southeast Missouri State University. She also earned dual master degrees in Secondary School Education-Adult Education, and Counseling, as well as obtained her doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Missouri-St Louis.
Natissia is a strong leader in our community, making her a dynamic advocate for Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri and the entire non-profit industry.
