Were you able to make it to the PWA Panel Discussion on “Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead.”? Sheryl Sandberg's book has raised heated debates about women in the workplace, balancing family life and why there are not more female executives in the workplace. In the May 20 article on the St. Louis Post Dispatch, our own Cindy Goodwin-Sak, a board member with Professional Women’s Alliance discussed the decision to hold an event based on the book. The article states, "The group decided to make the book club a panel discussion of five local female business leaders and opened the event to 60 women. Within 24 hours, they had 70 registrations. They changed the venue to the Edward Jones building in Des Peres to accommodate more guests, and at least 160 women attended the event on Wednesday." “I had no idea there would be this kind of response,” Goodwin-Sak said. Have you read the book yet?  If not, we encourage you to read it, and if you have read it, post a comment below on your thoughts.  Did you agree with the author?  Has reading the book inspired you to make any changes in your career path?  We'd love to hear your feedback.  For the full article click here:  Lean In Article.
